In Himara, a new luxury hotel energizes the city

In Himara, a few meters from Spille beach, Chimaera Hotel is one of the latest addition in town. A luxury boutique hotel inaugurated a few months ago, which is a great option to explore Southern Albania. THE ROOMS

56 rooms (6 of which are suites), a mediterranean-contemporary style restaurant, a lounge bar and a secret garden to enjoy an al fresco aperitif at sunset. Chimaera is an architectural project that is beautifully integrated with the surrounding territory. The elegant rooms are uniquely furnished mixing classical elements with contemporary pieces. All the rooms and suites are designed in a contemporary style, refined guise with pastel colors and have views over the mountains and sea (and private balconies where you can enjoy reading a book and drinking a cup of coffee).

FOOD & DRINKS

Breakfast is served in the ground floor and, upon request, the garden. There’s a generous buffet, plus a menu of quick classics. The lunch and dinner menus feature a great selection of high quality ingredients with a preference in using local products and promoting the territory. The daily menu has different proposals with options for vegetarians as well. The offer includes an à la carte menu with a wide variety of Mediterranean and international dishes, as well as sushi. Wherever you choose to eat, it’s the attention to detail and passion for excellence that really stand out.

EXPERIENCES

Chimaera Hotel offers excursions and boat trips along the coastline of Himara, included Gjipë and Grama Bay. Visiting these hidden treasures, secluded beaches and caves from a boat is one of the best experiences to do in South Albania. Beside the beaches and Himara’s old castle, another place to add in your agenda, the Albanian Riviera offers many interesting sights. Stone villages like Vuno, Qeparo, Borsh and Pilur, old monasteries and castles, like the Ali Pasha fortress in Porto Palermo. All good reasons to visit south Albania.
